Traveling by boat is an efficient, inexpensive and fairly tranquil way to get around and provides a remarkable window to local life as well as good views of Bangkok. Since August 2008, all locals and travellers can explore old Bangkok district(Rattanakosin Island) by bicycle with Bangkok Green Bike campaign. This is a pilot project of Green Bangkok Projects and it's free of charge service. The bike route circuit is about 18 kilometres at the Rattanakosin island, passes many attractive places in Bangkok.
