The climate of Bangkok is under the influence of tropical stroms, rain bands, and monsoon winds i.e. southwest monsoon and northeast monsoon.
The tropical stroms produce a large amount of rainfall. May is the first arrival of cyclone, the strom from Indian Ocean. While the eastern stroms, the tropical depressions from South China Sea influence Bangkok in October.
The southwest monsoon which starts in May brings a stream of warm moist air from Indian Ocean towards Thailand causing abundant rain over the country.
The northeast monsoon which starts in October brings the cold and dry air from China towards Thailand. In Bangkok this monsoon causes mild weather
Rain bands is the typical rain behavior due to the influence of the low pressure air that lies across the country. In May, the rain bands shifts to Bangkok that cause the rain especially after the many hottest days in summer.
