Between Sanam Luang and Wat Pho
Access by car
Drive to the Grand Palace and drop off at the main entrance gate, Wisetchaisri Gate. There's no parking for visitors.
Access by bus
Plenty of buses pass around here. The bus numbers are in the listed box above.
Access by boat
Take a Chao Phraya Express boat from pier along the river and get down at Tha Chang pier(N 09 Pier). Short walk pass riverside market. You'll see the corner of palace wall. Go straight ahead, do not turn right, 100 metres to the main entrance gate.
BEWARE
You will meet many scam artists on the way offering you directions and tips one of which will be that the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew are closed till late noon and will try to get you a taxi to kill your time elsewhere which is a tourist trap to send you to shops to buy. Pass them and walk to the inside. Ticket office is in front of the outer court. Chek day off at calendar.
Get inside
The entrance gate's name is Wisetchaisri, located at the middle of Na Phra Lan Rd. there are some scam artists outside the gate. Pass them and walk to the inside. Ticket office is in front of the outter court.

Daily open 8.30 AM - 4.00 PM
350 Bath per person for foreigners. (included admission to the Emerald BuddhaTemple and Wimanmek Mansion at Royal Dusit Palace.

Dress code
1. Shorts, mini-skirts, short skirts, tight fitting trousers, as well as tights can not be worn as outer garments.
2. See-through shirts and blouses, as well as culottes or quarter length trousers can not be worn.
3. Sleeveless shirts or vests can not be worn as outer garments.
4. Sandals (without ankle or heel straps) can not be worn.
5. All shirt sleeves, whether long or short, can not be rolled up.
6. Sweat shirts and sweat pants, wind-cheaters, pjamas and fisherman trousers can not be worn.
Recommendation
1. have enough memorycard and fully charged camera.
2. Don't forget hat, umbrailla or sunglasses.
3. Get there early(8AM) to avoid crowded tourists.
4. have a bottle of water, hardly buy inside.
5. Hire a guide or take an automated machine guides (like a walkman with head phones) which gave you privacy on your own pace.
