Canal tour

One of the most popular ways of seeing the sights of Bangkok is to embark on the canal tour by Chartered longtail boat from Tha Chang, in front of the Grand Palace. These tours follow a set route, taking in Wat Aroon and the Royal Barge museum and then continuing along Thonburi's network of small canals.

The International Buddhist Meditation Centre (I.B.M.C.), Bangkok arranges talks, study sessions and retreats to help surmount this barrier. The Vipassana Meditation Centre, Wat Mahadhatu (Section 5) offers a meditation class for English - speaking people everyday. The class begins in the morning at 7-10 a.m. afternoon from 1-4 p.m. and evening from 6-8 p.m. during the class, there is an introductory meditation instruction followed by the demonstration of walking and sitting meditation. Attendance is free of charge, but donations are welcome.

This is a pilot project of Green Bangkok Projects and it's free of charge service. The bike route circuit is about 18 kilometres at the Rattanakosin island, passes many attractive places in Bangkok. Eight bike stations are on along the route.
